Welcome

Experimenting is fun.

The main goal of the site is to share my experiments!

Mainly focusing on software radio!

The latest development is a radio card plugged into a raspberry pi (2 or 3) , a so called rpi-hat, forming an amateur radio. Given the name 'Radioberry'.

The building blocks containg hardware and software components can be found @Radioberry-Repo

Currently working defining a version 2 of the radioberry using the new Intell Cyclone 10 LP FPGA, supporting the 10CL16 and 10CL25.  Using KICAD for the scheme and 4-layer PCB, resulting in a formfactor of only 65 x 56 mm.

(Note: I ordered some Cyclone 10s, coming available in March 2018)

The blogs learns you about the different possible configurations.

Use the radioberry as a standalone multichannel (4) WSPR receiver.
The WSPRBerry implements the following:

-) recording max 4 WPSR channels
-) using FPGA firmware, implements a DDC to produce 375 samples per second
-) writing the samples per band to a .c2 files to process by the...

Radioberry succesfully built

Leo, JI1DLZ did assembly his radioberry radio.
Hereby some nice pictures.

He also likes to work with Power SDR, by using the emulator on the Raspberry pi it is easy to connect with the radioberry.

An other way of using the...

 Radioberry meets pihpsdr

John Melton (G0ORX)  is the inventor of the pihpsdr software. The software is running on a raspberrypi-3 and supports 2 receivers and a contains a transmit mode.
I forked the software of John at Github and added code for the radioberry; the...
